Mr. DVR Rao has written a novel about what goes on, in the corporate world and in the powers that be, to clinch a big business deal. Good thing is that the novel shows that an Indian firm bags the deal in face of tremendous pressure from an American giant. One is reminded of the strings pulled by Enron to get their deal sanctioned by Indians! I wonder why the author has chosen Philippines as the battleground and not India. I do hope his next novel would show how an Indian firm outwits a foreign MNC. The novel is written in such a racy style that it can be easily converted to a movie. I think time has come for that. Mr. Rao deserves hearty congratulations by all the discerning readers.
Compliments for bringing the romantic (soft) touch on a very hard core business agenda. The interplay of Business with Politics is very apt. Realities, captured very succinctly. .

D V R Rao's book Through the Glass Ceiling deals with this clash of ideologies between the Oriental and the Occidental worlds. But he deals with the Corporate business sector from a man's point of view. Though there is a romantic angle in his narration Damerla's main aim as he said is to show that Indian men and women in the business enterprise can achieve their target and earn name , fame and monetary profit and can equal or even excel their foreign counterparts by dint of hard work and sincere struggle. These certainly are motivating factors for upcoming entrepreneurs.
